Family Story
Michael O’Connor was so much more than a man who was murdered on the streets of Albuquerque. He was smart, funny, adventurous, and a sweet and caring soul. We all miss how much he made us laugh and enjoy our times together
Mike was also a highly respected physical therapist, a mentor to many, and well-loved in his community. He cared for the injured and elderly and made them laugh too!
In the midst of Covid, our sister was overwhelmed with a full-time job while caring for her husband, who had late-stage cancer, when she broke her leg and became helpless herself! While the rest of us were figuring out what to do, Mike immediately took the next plane to Boston. He cared for their dogs, did the housework, food shopping, cooking, everything! He also applied his loving and caring expertise to help our sister recover fully and faster.
There are many more similar stories but not enough space here to tell them all. We are devastated that he met his end in such a tragic way and pray that justice will be done.
