2024 Minimum Wage
The 2024 minimum wage required to be paid from Jan. 1, 2024, through Dec. 31, 2024:
- Starting Jan. 1, 2024, the minimum wage will be $12.00.
- Starting January 1, 2024, the minimum wage will be $12.00 if the employee’s employer provides healthcare and/or childcare benefits to the employee during any pay period and the employer pays an amount for these benefits equal to or in excess of an annualized cost of $2,500.00.
- Starting Jan. 1, 2024, the minimum wage for tipped employees will be $7.20.

*Beginning January 1, 2024, the New Mexico Minimum Wage Act the minimum wage in New Mexico remains $12.00 per hour and the City of Albuquerque Minimum Wage Ordinance increases the City of Albuquerque adjusted minimum wage from $10.70 to $11.10 per hour. The prevailing minimum wage in the City of Albuquerque is the higher minimum wage between the New Mexico Minimum Wage Act and the City of Albuquerque Minimum Wage Ordinance, which is $12.00 per hour beginning January 1, 2024.
