You can explore Discovery Stations that tell the stories of the resident herd and how to know who's who; learn about giraffe nutrition with real examples you can touch, smell, and see; and much more!
You can learn more about efforts to save giraffes in the wild by organizations like the Giraffe Conservation Foundation at their website. As leaders in the fight against extinction, they currently work on projects in 21 African countries, on over 400,000 sq km of native giraffe habitat. From tracking giraffes to better understand movement and feeding patterns, to translocation of individuals to more stable populations and educating the surrounding communities, you can learn more about global initiatives in action as well as what you can do at home!
