Express Permitting System

The City of Albuquerque’s Building Safety Division is excited to introduce its new Express Permitting System, designed to accelerate approvals for critical residential and commercial permits. Dependent on the exact permit being applied for, if you're a homeowner, contractor, or developer, you can now secure permits for key applications on the same day you apply, making it easier than ever to keep your projects moving. Please note, all required inspections are still required and must be submitted through your ABQ-PLAN Dashboard.

Express Permits Currently Available:

• Residential re-roof without any truss repairs

Express Permits Coming Soon:

• Roof-mounted solar permits under 50 kWs
• Small repair/minor alterations, like window or door replacements
• Water heater replacement
• Stucco
