2016 Spring Lessons: Ages 5 to Adult

Spring tennis lessons for juniors and adults will take place at Jerry Cline and Sierra Vista Tennis Centers. Registration continues throughout February.

Not all skill and age levels are available every hour. Proof of age (birth certificate) is required for children joining 5-7 year old classes.

Tennis Sites, Description, Dates, Times & Cost

Saturdays Jerry Cline:

  • Beginner-intermediate lessons. Minimum age 5
  • Dates: Feb. 20 – April 16. No lessons on March 5 (eight lesson series)
  • Times: 50 min classes (9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m.)
  • Cost:
    • Adults - $32
    • Juniors - $24

Saturdays Sierra Vista:

  • Beginner-intermediate lessons. Minimum age 5
  • Dates: Feb. 6 to March 5 (five lesson series) March 26 to April 23 (five lesson series)
  • Times: 50 min classes (1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m.)
  • Cost:
    • Adults - $20
    • Juniors - $15 (per session)

Drop-In Tennis League

What is the Adult Drop-In League? It is an informal, friendly tennis league sponsored by the City of Albuquerque and run by the Jerry Cline Recreation and Tennis Facility and the Sierra Vista Tennis Center.

One must have a minimum intermediate skill level to qualify, as determined by the Drop-In Coordinator. Juniors are generally not permitted, but an occasional exception may be made. The cost for all Drop-In sessions is $3 per person; tennis balls are provided. All participants are expected to abide by the full Drop In policy.

Drop-In at the Jerry Cline Recreation and Tennis Facility

Morning Drop-In (Monday - Thursday): Players sign in at 8 a.m. June through September, and at 9 a.m. from the beginning of October through May. The last to arrive may have to begin with singles or the ball machine, or not get in at all, so arrive early to insure your spot. Players have a choice of playing one, two, or three rounds.

Evening Drop-In (Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 p.m.): The first round begins as players arrive on a first come first serve basis. Players have the choice to play one round until 6:40 p.m., two rounds to 7:15 p.m., or three rounds until 8 p.m.

Drop-In at the Sierra Vista Tennis Center

Sunday morning only: Start time is 8:30 a.m. through September, and 9 a.m. from October through May. First come first serve basis.

Ball Machine Rental

Both the Jerry Cline Recreation and Tennis Center and the Sierra vista Tennis Center have ball machine rentals. The cost is $8 per hour. It is best to call first and reserve your time
