Out of Doors: Acts of Ecology in Albuquerque

The vision of Art Park 21 (AP21) is for an innovative 21st century art park located in New Mexico. The park will feature eco-art installations that take 21st century views of our relationship with our ecosphere. The inaugural exhibition of the project is “Out of Doors: Acts of Ecology in Albuquerque.”

Open Space Explorer Camp

The weekly camp sessions begin June 18, 2019 and will run every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday through August 8. Registration is $15.00 per participant per week. Kids are encouraged to bring water, a hat, sunscreen, a snack and/or lunch. Registration will take place online beginning Saturday, March 9 at play.cabq.gov.

Open Space Explorer Camp

The City of Albuquerque’s Parks & Recreation Department is opening registration for its popular Open Space Explorer Camp on Saturday, March 9. The camp, which is held at the Open Space Visitor Center, launches its second year of weekly camps exploring Albuquerque’s environment and natural surroundings this summer.

Child & Infant CPR/Choking Seminar

The manager of the Wells Park Splash Pad is teaching a seminar on Child and Infant CPR and Choking. Manager, Chad Jurado is an American Red Cross CPR instructor and would like to offer this class free to the public in order to empower parents and provide the confidence to respond in an emergency involving their children or other children/infants in an emergency situation. There will be two seminars at the Johnny Tapia Community Center: - Tuesday July 16 @ 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Saturday July 20 @ 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
