Tribal Engagement Deadlines
Pre-submittal Tribal Meetings
The Integrated Development Ordinance requires applicants to offer a meeting to tribal representatives prior to submitting specific applications for subject properties within specific geographies. This process can take up to 60 days, so applicants are encouraged to begin as soon as possible.

Triggering Geographies
- Within 660 feet of Major Public Open Space (including the Petroglyph National Monument)
- Within 660 feet of Tribal land
Referrals for Agency Comment
The Integrated Development Ordinance requires the City to refer applications for subject properties within specific geographies to all Tribal representatives in New Mexico for comments. See the schedule below for the deadline for comments, with one notable exception:
- For the following applications on subject properties in any of the following geographies, Tribal representatives have 30 days to submit comments, which will result in deferring the case to the following EPC hearing.
