Commander David Saladin
Commander David Saladin joined the Albuquerque Police Department in 2001. He worked as an officer in the Field Services Bureau, serving in the Northeast, Valley and Southeast Area Commands. During that time he was certified as a Crisis Intervention Officer. Commander Saladin also served as a detective for Northeast Impact and Westside Narcotics.He was promoted to sergeant in 2013 and supervised a Field Services team in the Southeast where he coordinated the Gang Suppression Officers and Problem Response Team. Next, he supervised the Northeast Impact Team and the Advanced Training Unit. He was promoted to lieutenant in 2017 and oversaw Violent Crimes and the Basic Training Section. During both assignments at the Albuquerque Police Academy, he was responsible for maintaining CASA mandated training standards.
Commander Saladin was born and raised in Albuquerque. He graduated from Del Norte High School and received a Bachelor’s degree in Justice Administration from Wayland Baptist University.
