The new Volcano View Trailhead, located off 81st Street just south of the La Boca Negra Horseman’s Complex, provides direct access to 6.5 miles of newly constructed natural-surface, multi-use trail on the West Mesa. This trail system connects seamlessly to the new Ruth Eisenberg Trailhead off Atrisco Vista Blvd., creating an expanded network that links visitors to sweeping vistas, volcanic features, and the larger West Mesa trail system. The Volcano View Trailhead offers a new gateway for hikers, runners, and cyclists to explore some of Albuquerque’s most striking open space landscapes.
