Information about the City of Albuquerque's seasonal indoor track.
Indoor Track
Home of UNM’s Indoor Track & Field program, the facility features a 200-meter Mondo oval with 60-degree banked turns and six 36-inch lanes. The straight is a panel system Mondo surface with eight 42-inch lanes, which is also used for high jump. The pole vault, long jump and triple jump are on raised runways with Mondo surfacing. The throwing ring is a wooden surface.
Public Use
Winter is no excuse to stop running.
Each winter, the City of Albuquerque sets up an indoor track inside the Albuquerque Convention Center.
Although the track is scheduled for collegiate and Special Olympics events, there are opportunities for Albuquerque residents and visitors to use the track, too.
The public is invited to use the track on the following dates/times:
January 22 through February 14, 2013: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.! Please, no spiked shoes...smooth soled running shoes only.
All persons wishing to use the track must sign a waiver of liability once per season; please print and sign. On site staff will collect the forms prior to use.

The indoor track is located in the Albuquerque Convention Center, 401 2nd St NW, East Complex, Fran Hill Exhibition room.

USA Indoor Track & Field Championships
March 1-3, 2013
USA Track & Field heads back to the Land of Enchantment for the 2013 USA Indoor Track & Field Championships which will include the USA Indoor Combined Events Championships, bringing the nation’s elite track and field athletes together as they compete for national crowns in the world’s oldest indoor track championship. This championship will be contested on March 1-3 at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and also serves as the final indoor meet in the USATF Championship Series.
The Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau, along with the New Mexico Sports Authority, the University of New Mexico, the City of Albuquerque and USATF New Mexico, are the official hosts for the championships, which have been held in Albuquerque since 2010.
