Heights Community Center is located near Central New Mexico College and the University of New Mexico. The Center has a dance hall, half court gym, computer lab and multipurpose rooms.

Youth Programs

  • After School Program
    • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
      • We offer a structured program, which includes homework help, computers, game room, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor activities, and field trips.
  • At-Risk After School Supper Meals
    • Monday to Friday, 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
      • The Department of Family and Community Services sponsors the CACFP At-Risk After School Supper Meals Program in partnership with Bernalillo County to provide free hot and nutritious supper meals to youth enrolled in eligible After School programs throughout the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County.
  • Tres Manos Child Development Center
    • Monday to Friday, 7 a.m.to 5:30 p.m.

  • Computer Lab
    • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Game Room
    • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Open Gym Basketball
    • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Swing Dance
    • Every Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (Lessons at 7:30 p.m.) 
      • Donation of $4 is requested but not required
      • Perfect for all ages, families, all abilities
      • Participants should wear soft-soled/non marking shoes that have clean bottoms to protect the historic dance floor.  Shoe covers and moleskin are available if you do not have proper shoes.
