Seasonal Registration Information

Summer 2026 Program Dates & Hours

 For children 5 to 15 years. Children must be 6 years old before September 1st, 2026 and have completed Kindergarten.

  • Program Dates: June 15 – July 31, 2026
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Registration Fee: $10 per child

Summer 2026 Lottery & Registration

Due to high demand, participants are selected through a lottery system.

To participate, families must create an account and retain their username and password for registration and payment purposes.

  • Lottery Sign-Up: May 4 – May 15
  • Registration for Selected Participants: May 20 – May 29

Once a program reaches capacity, participants will be placed on a waitlist. Parents and guardians will be notified if space becomes available.

Please note: Due to high demand, some locations may close their waitlists once capacity has been reached.

2026-2027 Before & After School Programs

Registration begins Monday, July 27, 2026, at 8 a.m. and is available on a first-come, first-served basis for children ages 5–14. Five-year-old participants must be enrolled in Kindergarten.

Each child must have a current Community Center membership to register. A one-time registration fee of $10 per child applies.

Programs are available at most Community Centers, Therapeutic Recreation sites, and various PLAY+ APS Elementary Schools. Registration remains open throughout the school year as space allows, and program fees may apply.

These programs provide planned, organized, and supervised activities designed to meet the recreational needs of participating children.

2026-2027 Winter Break 

Community Center Winter Break programs are offered on a first-come, first-served basis for youth and teens in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Each child must have a current Community Center membership to register. A one-time registration fee of $10 per child applies.

Community Centers are closed on December 25 and January 1.

2027 Spring Break Youth Program

Community Centers will offer Spring Break programming during APS Spring Break.

Each child must have a current Community Center membership to register. A one-time registration fee of $10 per child applies.

Important Note

The City of Albuquerque does not provide year-end payment statements for program participation. Payment receipts are issued at the time of each transaction. Participants should retain all receipts for their tax records.
