Summer Youth Program at Community Centers

For children 5 to 15 years. Children must be 6 years old before September 1st, 2025 and have completed Kindergarten.

Summer 2025 Lottery & Registration

Due to the high participant demand, a "lottery-style" selection of participants is used. You will need to create an account to proceed and access the site. It is also important to note your user name and password as you will need this information to register and submit payments.

• Lottery Sign-up: April 28 - May 9
• Registration for selected participants: May 14 - May 23
• Programs with available slots after May 26 will open for registration
• Once a program's registration is full, a waiting list is kept and maintained. Parents/Guardians of waiting list participants will be notified as space becomes available.

Due to the high number of participants in the Lottery Pool, the following sites will not accept any additional names on the Waitlist. Parents/Guardians of waitlist participants will be notified as space becomes available.

Summer Program Fees

One-time $10 registration fee per child.

2024-2025 Before & After School Programs

Before and/or After School Programs are available at most of our Community Centers, Therapeutic Recreation sites, and various PLAY+ APS Elementary Schools.

These programs provide planned, organized, and supervised activities designed to meet the recreational needs of the children who attend.

Community Center, Inclusion Recreation, and PLAY+ registration is ongoing. Registration fees may apply.

2024-2025 Winter Break

Community Centers 2024-2025 winter break programs are offered as first-come, first-served for children 5 to 14 years old, and must be registered in Kindergarten. Registration will be available beginning December 9th, 2024 at 8:00 am at play.cabq.gov with more information about locations and times. The Winter Break program will be Monday December 23rd, 2024 through Monday January 6th, 2025, excluding December 25th and January 1st. Each child needs a current membership to register. There is a one-time registration fee of $10 per child. Contact your center directly for specific program information.

2025 Spring Break Youth Program

Community Centers will hold 2025 spring break program March 17- 21, Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Registration begins Monday, March 3rd, 2025 at 8 a.m. and is first-come, first-served. Register at play.cabq.gov. Each child needs a current membership to register. There is a one-time registration fee of $10 per child. Contact your center directly for specific program information.

Important Note

City of Albuquerque programs do not provide year-end statements. Any time a payment is made, we do provide receipts and we suggest that participants of the programs save those receipts for tax purposes.
