Homeless Services

The Family and Community Services Department is a key player in the City's effort to end homelessness. Our services include prevention, outreach, shelter and housing programs and supportive services.

Housing Services & Programs

The City of Albuquerque Community Development (CD) Division provides grant assistance for programs and services that serve persons of low and moderate income* through City general funds and entitlement funds received from the Department of Housing and Urban Development

Health & Social Services

Health and Social Services Centers provide, as a community focal point, services to meet the health, education, and social service needs of the community.

Senior Services

The City of Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is a state-sanctioned, federally mandated entity tasked with developing a comprehensive needs assessment, program planning and implementation and monitoring of all services to people over the age of 60, in Albuquerque/Bernalillo County.

Food Assistance

The food assistance program is largely based on partnerships within the community, the largest being Roadrunner Food Bank. The Health & Social Services Centers are participants in The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) governed by the USDA and FANS.
