Twinkle Light Parade
Kick-off the holiday season with Albuquerque's biggest holiday parade, the Twinkle Light Parade, taking place on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at 5:15 p.m. in Historic Nob Hill. It is a spectacular family-friendly holiday event featuring dozens of floats, marching bands, equestrian clubs, fire trucks, car clubs, and businesses. Wrap up the evening with Mr. Claus himself, brought to you by the Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails! This unforgettable parade is sure to dazzle audiences of all ages.
Admission and Transportation
Park and Ride
Take advantage of the free Park and Ride service and avoid traffic and construction on Central! Park at the lot on the southwest corner of Lomas and University and shuttles will drop you off at Johnson Field at UNM. Shuttles will run back and forth from 3-10 p.m.
Regular street parking is available in the area. Please remember to abide by all laws when parking.
Visit Historic Nob Hill as over 300,000 lights illuminate a mile of Central from Washington heading west to Girard!
With plenty to offer, Nob Hill is a great place to visit. Between the great shops and restaurants, locals and non-locals alike are sure to revel in the festivities.
Vote for the Twinkle Light Parade
The City of Albuquerque's Twinkle Light Parade has been nominated for USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Travel Award Contest. Voters 18 years and older can vote once everyday throughout the contest. Voting ends Monday, Dec. 5, 2016.
All shops in Historic Nob Hill will be open for regular hours during the day of the parade. Grab your last minute holiday gifts, and enjoy pedestrian friendly streets on Central, from Washington to San Mateo from 4-6 p.m. and from Girard to Washington after the end of the parade until 11 p.m. Access to the shops directly on Central can be found from Copper or Campus, and Sliver west of Washington.
