Calling Creative Video Creators!

The City of Albuquerque's Cultural Services Department invites creative professionals to submit pitches for engaging, original, and creative video content that is ready-to-air and stream on the City's Public Access channels, social media, and other digital platforms. The requested categories are Storytelling and Educational content.

In a continued effort to support the creative economy, the City of Albuquerque is looking for Virtual Visionaries to create content for Public Access Channels.


The City of Albuquerque's Cultural Services Department invites creative professionals to submit pitches for engaging, original, and creative video content that is ready-to-air and stream on the City's Public Access channels, social media, and other digital platforms. The requested categories are Storytelling and Educational content.

Category 1- Storytelling:

Documentary-style visual storytelling about Albuquerque - productions that tell the story of local people, places, history, etc.

Category 2- Educational Content:
Educational videos go beyond merely informing the viewer – these videos go deeper into the ‘why’ in addition to just the ‘what’.

Animated Explainer Videos
Television Newscasts
Interview Question & Answer Videos
Streaming Video Online News Websites

Public Service Announcments (PSAs)
Explainer Videos
Local Destination videos

Preferred content profiles local creatives and arts & cultural organizations.

Limited projects will be approved. The deadline to apply is Friday, February 12




Qualified applicants should adhere to current State Health Orders. This opportunity is open to Albuquerque-area creatives, with a preference for individuals or organizations based in Albuquerque full-time. Awarded stipends ranging from $500 to $2500 will be awarded to Albuquerque content creators and media makers. Content should be broadcast-ready, edited and complete final versions of programs that are 15 to 60 minutes in length. By submitting a proposal, applicants are agreeing to allow the City of Albuquerque to use their content as seen fit as it will become property of the City of Albuquerque.
