Join the Leopold Writing Program for “An Evening with Joy Harjo: Storytelling, Culture, and the Environment.” Through readings from her books and spoken stories, Joy Harjo explores the deep connections between people, culture, and the natural world. Rooted in Indigenous traditions, her storytelling reflects how land, memory, and community are intertwined, inviting us to consider our shared relationship with the Earth.
Harjo holds the Ruth Yellowhawk Fellowship from the Kettering Foundation, and is the inaugural Artist-in-Residence for the Bob Dylan Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She lives on the Muscogee Nation Reservation in Oklahoma.
