Description

Head to Inukshuk Bay to learn about the icy world of polar bears! This international celebration for awareness and conservation of the world's polar bears was founded to coincide with the time period when polar bear moms and cubs are snug in their den. The denning period is the most vulnerable time in a polar bear’s life and in a warming Arctic where they face enormous challenges, the survival of every single cub is critically important.

Our BioPark Volunteers will have Discovery Stations packed with biofacts and hands-on activities to help you explore polar bears’ natural history, how they stay warm, and what YOU can do to help polar bears and their cubs in the wild. See if you can spot Kiska enjoying his pool or his Tundra habitat!
