Call for Fiber Art “Earth Threads” at the Open Space Visitor Center

The City of Albuquerque Open Space Visitor Center will present an exhibit of fiber arts. The exhibit will run through July 27th. The theme provides an opportunity for artists working in all fiber media to create an original work inspired by any aspect of the idea of “Earth Threads”: land and soil conservation, community, habitat and ecosystems, the effects of climate change on our native landscapes, the beauty of our New Mexico public lands, or anything else that moves you to create. Fiber artists of all levels working in all media are invited to submit their work through February 22nd, 2019.

These closures are in conjunction with those announced earlier this week by the Sandia Ranger District of the Cibola National Forest. These properties will remain closed indefinitely until the fire danger subsides.
