School & Youth Group Field Trips
The ABQ BioPark is a fun and dynamic place for students to have field experiences and learn outside the classroom.
Contents
Staff-Led Adventures
BioPark educators will lead your group through your choice of field trips at the Zoo, Botanic Garden or Tingley Beach. Programs vary in topic and may be custom designed for students' grade level and class size.
Cost is $75 for 30 minutes or $100 for 45-minute programming. Entry tickets are not included and must be purchased separately here.
School and youth group self-guided field trips are available year-round via either our school season option or our summer season option. Prices vary depending upon season.
Eligible groups are public and private schools, day care centers following a preschool curriculum, home schools and home school co-ops with a Notification of Home School form, youth groups, schools or programs that serve adult students with developmental or other disabilities, university classes.
Reservations Required
Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance to receive the group discount. School field trips are scheduled only on weekdays. Reservations are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Reservations are not accepted more than six months in advance of your planned visit date.
Cost for self-guided field trips is $1.50 per student and $3 for accompanying adults.
Summer Season
June 1 to July 31

Chaperones
Minimum group size is 10 youth (total of students and infants). At least one adult chaperone for every 10 students is required. Teachers of high school students may not assign persons under the age of 19 as chaperones. Chaperones are responsible for their groups.
Please remain with your students at all times.
Fees
A single payment for the group is preferred in advance. We accept purchase orders, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
In order to qualify for a group discount, your party must enter together. You may not pay in advance for students, chaperones, faculty or family members who will be arriving late. Full admission will be charged for anyone who does not enter with the school group.
Teachers and bus drivers do not receive free admission to the BioPark. Please include yourself, other teachers and the bus driver, if they are joining you, in your adult count.

Summer Youth Group Discount for Self-Guided Field Trips
Youth group discounts are available on weekdays each summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Students (ages 3-18): $3
Students with developmental disabilities older than age 18 may be admitted at $3 per person when attending with their school or education program/organization.
Infants (2 and under): Free
Adults: $3
Order lunch
If your group decides to eat lunch at the BioPark, you are welcome to bring in bag lunches or you can order boxed lunches for children and adults from the café.
