Spring Break Camps
Join the ABQ BioPark for in-person Spring Break camps!
You child can spend Spring Break at the ABQ BioPark!
Flexible schedules are offered.
Register for one day, all days, or any number in between.
Prices and Registration
- $55 per day, each day is a separate registration
- New Mexico BioPark Society Members: $50, each day is a separate registration
What you need to know
- Open to children grades 2-6. Camps are separated by grades 2-3 and grades 4-6.
- An informational e-mail will be sent one week prior to your camp.
- Please arrive by 8:15 a.m. Pick up is at 4 p.m.
- Camps take place rain or shine, and some activities are outdoors. Wear layers of clothing.
- Bring a lunch, snack and water bottle.
- Refund Policy: Refunds will be given if requested at least two weeks prior to the start of the first day of class, minus a $25 processing fee per class per child. No refunds or transfer of classes will be given if requested within the two weeks prior to the first day of class or once classes begin.

Spring Wildlife Safari
ABQ BioPark Zoo
Grades 2-3, 4-6
Go on a safari at the Zoo! Join us for fun-filled days where you will learn about wildlife in New Mexico and around the world. Discover hippo habits, listen to elephants rumble and search for camouflaged critters. Zoo camps include up-close encounters with education animal ambassadors, zookeeper chats, and special guided tours.
Monday, March 20; Enrichment is the name of the day! Campers will learn all about what it takes to keep animals healthy and happy at the Zoo by meeting the keepers and building enrichment items for some of the animals.
Tuesday, March 21; Discover the many amazing animal adaptations of polar bears, hippos, crocodiles, and alligators. You’ll end the day with an up-close animal encounter.

Spring Water Journey
ABQ BioPark Aquarium
Grades 2-3, 4-6
Wednesday, March 22; Dive into this adventure as you follow the course of the Rio Grande from New Mexico to the ocean. Explore the Aquarium to learn about sharks, jellies, river otters, fish, and sea turtles. Go behind the scenes to see what it takes to keep fish in the desert. Aquarium camps may include up-close animal encounters at our mangrove touchpool and special tours.

Spring Green Connection
ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden
Grades 2-3, 4-6
Thursday, March 23; Uncover the fascinating world of plants from tiny seeds to towering trees. Find out how plants support the web of life on Earth and discover their wondrous uses. Visit animals at the Heritage Farm, and learn the importance of bugs and other arthropods in the BUGarium. Botanic Garden camps include farm and garden tours, make and take seed balls, and more.

Spring Outdoor Adventure
ABQ BioPark Tingley Beach
Grades 2-3, 4-6
Friday, March 24; What do cottonwoods, catfish, and coyotes have in common? They are all part of the amazing world in and around the Rio Grande. Take an exciting trek through the bosque to experience nature at the heart of the city. Gather clues about the forest, discover ways that plants and animals survive in the Bosque, play nature games, and learn what you can do to keep the Bosque healthy and beautiful. Tingley Beach camps include a meet and greet with an aquarist working on saving species in the Rio Grande.
