Local Influencers Share the Books That Changed Their Lives

Four Leading Voices Join Together to Bring a Collection of Recommended Books to Albuquerque’s Public Library

May 8, 2023 - The Public Library of Albuquerque-Bernalillo County has announced the unveiling of its third Influencers Collection, a series of book recommendations from the area’s community leaders. The library extended an invitation to the leaders to share their most beloved books, titles that have changed their lives, books to read over and over again, and recent titles that changed their perspective on the world.

This third round includes influencers from the worlds of art, religion, education, and entrepreneurship. Hakim Bellamy is an author and poet, Seth N. Finch is a community pastoral leader, Val Day-Sanchez is a professor, and Kei Tsuzuki is a social entrepreneur. Find out more about them and their reading recommendations on the library’s website at https://abqlibrary.org/featured/influencers

These book recommendations come from a unique perspective and will bring the reading interests of these influencers to the entire Albuquerque community. Beginning at the Main Library, these collections will travel to other library branches across Albuquerque and Bernalillo County, allowing guests to discover a variety of genres and learn more about their local community.

The library encourages everyone to explore the Influencers Collection, and to share their own reading experiences. By sharing these experiences, the collections can continue to grow and connect members of the community.

The Influencers Collection is an opportunity to discover a variety of genres, learn more about local community, and connect with fellow readers.
