Live Music, Local Flavor, and Summer Fun Return for Heights Summerfest

Free concert features Doctor Nativo and local favorites

June 02, 2026

Head to the Heights as live music, local food, artisans, and more return to North Domingo Baca Park for the City of Albuquerque’s Heights Summerfest on Saturday, June 13, from 5 to 10 p.m. The free concert launches the 2026 Albuquerque Summerfest season with an evening of entertainment, shopping, and family activities for all ages.

This year’s event is headlined by Doctor Nativo, whose genre-blending sound brings together reggae, cumbia, and hip-hop with socially conscious storytelling. The performance lineup begins at 5 p.m., offering a full evening of music in one of Albuquerque’s largest community parks.

One of Central America's most prominent talents, Dr. Nativo’s music is contagious and explosive, containing a profound message linking the ancestral with the contemporary, reimagining and remixing traditional rhythms incorporating pre-Hispanic instruments.

Schedule:

  • 5 p.m. - The Fabulous Martini-Tones (surf rock)
  • 6 p.m. - Keeping Up With the Joneses (funk/soul)
  • 7 p.m. - ABBAquerque (ABBA tribute band)
  • 8:30 p.m. - Doctor Nativo

In addition to live performances, attendees can explore The Shops’ handmade goods from local artisans, enjoy a variety of food trucks in the Food Court, and visit The Cantina for beverages from local breweries, wineries and distilleries. Free children’s activities will be available throughout the evening.

“Our Albuquerque Summerfest series is always a blast,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “It doesn’t get much better than spending a music, food and fun filled sunny evening outdoors.”

Free parking is available at the North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center. Additional free parking and ADA-accessible shuttle service will be offered at La Cueva High School beginning at 4 p.m. Shuttles will run through 10:30 p.m. Street parking is also permitted where posted.

Heights Summerfest is free and open to the public, rain or shine. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Pets on leashes are welcome. For more event details visit https://tinyurl.com/yc4shkd6.
