KiMo Theatre Hosts Screening of Bands of Enchantment Season 2

Emmy nominated series filmed entirely in Albuquerque last September.

January 18, 2023 - The historic KiMo Theatre will host the red carpet premiere of the highly anticipated second season of Bands of Enchantment on Thursday, Jan. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. Bands of Enchantment Albuquerque Sessions is an international music television show celebrating multiple genres. Bands from across the world descended in Albuquerque last September to film the Emmy nominated series second season.

The premiere will include one episode featuring Albuquerque's own Red Light Cameras and a second surprise episode. Tickets are free but should be reserved at https://tickets.holdmyticket.com/tickets/407495?tc=hmt. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the screening begins at 7. Safe House Distilling Co. and other local vendors will be on site offering drinks and nibbles for purchase.

"Albuquerque continues to have a vibrant live music scene," said Dr. Shelle Sanchez, director of the Department of Arts & Culture that oversees the KiMo. "Bands of Enchantment Albuquerque Sessions showcases a great mix of our very own local talent with many iconic Albuquerque venues serving as the backdrop for this international TV show.”

Bands of Enchantment Albuquerque Sessions begins airing on PBS and Roku in February. Season 1 can be streamed at https://www.pbs.org/show/bands-enchantment/.
