
Family Picnic Night at the BioPark Combines Music and Nature
Tickets are on sale now for the August 8 event
Make lasting memories under the evening sky at Family Picnic Night at the Botanic Garden and Aquarium on Friday, August 8, from 5–9 p.m. This end-of-summer tradition invites visitors of all ages to wander blooming pathways, watch beautiful fish, and explore interactive Discovery Stations, while enjoying live performances from local bands.
Music will drift around every corner of the Botanic Garden and Aquarium throughout the evening. Entertainment on the Festival Green Stage begins at 5:15 p.m. with Picoso, followed by Spanish Broom at 6:30 p.m., and Joseph General & High Vibration at 7:30 p.m.
Food and drink will be available for purchase from the Shark Reef Café and at special snack stands throughout the Garden. Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic as well and can enjoy various activities including interactive Discovery Stations and free face painting in the Ceremonial Garden.

Limited parking is available at the Botanic Garden and Aquarium. Free parking will be available at the Zoo. Free SunVan shuttles will take event-goers to and from the Garden and Aquarium throughout the event. SunVans are handicap accessible. Strollers, lawn chairs, and coolers are allowed on shuttles and inside the ABQ BioPark. Glass containers, alcohol, tents, and canopies are not permitted on shuttles or inside the BioPark. Pets are not allowed at the BioPark.
