Department of Arts & Culture Seeks Next CityMakers

For artists and creatives who want to inspire.

February 28, 2022 - The Department of Arts & Culture is recruiting up to three artists/creatives for the 2022 CityMakers program. CityMakers is a program to bring Albuquerque artists - and their creativity - into the public sector to support and develop projects that positively impact and inspire the community. CityMakers will work on collective and individual projects in partnership with a variety of City departments from April through December 16, 2022.

"Artists and creatives naturally bring innovative thinking to challenges and inspiration to overlooked opportunities," Dr. Shelle Sanchez, director of Arts & Culture, said. "We look forward to having another group of dynamic creatives working with us this year, and we are committed to working to supporting them to develop projects that can serve our community."

Team members will be contracted as temporary city employees with an hourly pay of $20.43 for 16 - 24 hours per week. The application deadline is 5 p.m. MST on Friday, March 11, 2022. Applicants must be current Albuquerque residents.
