The City of Albuquerque's Department of Arts & Culture, along with First Lady Elizabeth Kistin Keller, is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2024 Creative Bravos Awards.

These awards celebrate and honor the outstanding contributions and creative achievements across a spectrum of categories, encompassing individuals, young talents, events, programs, organizations, and businesses in the Albuquerque community that have made a significant impact in the fields of arts and culture. Well into its third decade, the Creative Bravos Awards has recognized more than 200 recipients who have contributed to the city's vibrant creative tapestry - ranging from those who have dedicated their life to arts and culture to those young creatives emerging as future arts leaders.

"I’m inspired by the remarkable talent that enriches our city, and I believe that recognizing the Creative Bravos Awards winners is not just an honor, but a vital stepping stone for artists,” said First Lady Kistin Keller. “These awards are a testament to the thriving artistic spirit of Albuquerque, and they propel our creatives to even greater heights.”

The community is encouraged to submit nominations for individuals and organizations whose outstanding contributions to arts and culture have made Albuquerque a richer, more vibrant city and who have demonstrated exceptional creativity, innovation, and dedication in their artistic pursuits and support. Nominations can be submitted online through the official Creative Bravos Awards website at https://www.cabq.gov/artsculture/creative-bravos-awards or at https://tinyurl.com/3j85nmsb. The submission deadline is 4 p.m. MT on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023. Self-nominations will not be considered.

Rekindled and hosted annually by First Lady Kistin Keller and the Department of Arts & Culture since 2018, the Creative Bravos Awards recognize and celebrate the dynamic and diverse arts community that continues to enrich the cultural landscape of the city. The awards honor achievements in various categories, highlighting the exceptional creativity and dedication of artists, cultural workers, and organizations that have left an indelible mark on the city.

The award recipients will be honored at the 2024 Creative Bravos Awards ceremony on March 7, 2024 at the South Broadway Cultural Center.
