The City of Albuquerque’s Department of Arts & Culture invites the community to celebrate Mother’s Day in historic Old Town on Sunday, May 10, from 1–5 p.m. This free, family-friendly event offers an afternoon of live entertainment, local shopping, food, and activities designed to honor the mothers and caregivers who help shape our community.

A lively lineup of performances at the Gazebo includes Ballet Folklórico de Aztlán, Mariachi Xóchitl, and the Black Pearl Band NM, delivering a dynamic mix of cultural traditions and high-energy music. Throughout the plaza, visitors can explore Old Town merchants offering handcrafted goods and unique gifts, while local food trucks and Old Town restaurants will be serving a variety of flavors and signature dishes.

“Mother’s Day in Old Town is a chance to come together, celebrate the people who care for us, and enjoy the rich culture and creativity that define Albuquerque,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “It’s a meaningful way to spend time with family while supporting local artists and businesses in the area.”

Families will find plenty to enjoy together, with free kids’ activities including face painting and a climbing wall, as well as opportunities to meet adoptable pets through the City’s Animal Welfare Department.

This event is free and open to the public. Streets surrounding Old Town will be closed to traffic during the celebration; free parking will be available at the Albuquerque Museum.

The event will take place rain or shine, and well-behaved pets on leashes are welcome.
