Live local music and discovery stations among special treats planned for Mother’s Day.
The ABQ BioPark Zoo invites the community to celebrate Mother’s Day with a one-of-a-kind experience surrounded by nature, music, and wildlife. Mother’s Day at the Zoo returns on Sunday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering a family-friendly atmosphere honoring moms of every kind.
Purchasing tickets in advance at abqtickets.com is recommended.
Guests are encouraged to spend the day exploring the Zoo while enjoying live entertainment, interactive experiences, and special activities designed for all ages. With more than 20 local bands performing throughout the Zoo, families can enjoy a full day of music alongside their favorite animal habitats, including the new Running Wild: Cheetahs and More.
“The BioPark is a place where families come together to create lasting memories, and on Mother’s Day, it becomes even more meaningful,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “We invite families to celebrate the incredible moms in their lives while enjoying nature, live music, and learning about Zoo moms.”
Discovery Stations will highlight the role of animal mothers, offering hands-on opportunities to learn how species care for and raise their young in the wild. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of food options throughout the Zoo, from quick bites and family-friendly favorites to refreshing beverages. BioPark concessions will offer everything from savory meals to sweet treats like ice cream and desserts, along with specialty drinks for adults, making it easy to relax, refuel, and celebrate Mom with something delicious at every stop.
Admission: Adults $13; Seniors/Youth $6.50; children under 2 free. BioPark Society members receive 50% off with a valid membership card and ID.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early and plan ahead for a full day of exploration and celebration. For more information, including permitted and prohibited items inside the Zoo, visit cabq.gov/biopark.
