Description

The ABQ BioPark's reptile animal care team invites you to share a special evening with the lizards, snakes, turtles, and tortoises that call the zoo home! You'll learn about the individuals we care for and the vital conservation efforts for their wild counterparts all around the world. In this inaugural event, proceeds will go to the expansion project for the Salina Reserve in Grand Cayman, one of the primary protected habitats for Grand Cayman blue iguanas. In addition to the iguanas, the reserve is home to almost every species in Grand Cayman and in some cases it's the only place they are found on Earth. The National Trust for the Cayman Islands has the chance to purchase additional acres of undisturbed land in this critical ecosystem, where 50 to 100 iguanas are released into the wild each year. You can read more about this project and their other work on their website

Each general admission includes one complimentary cocktail (ID required) or mocktail and three appetizers. Choose a VIP ticket instead to get all of that and a meet and greet with a giant Aldabra tortoise! Additional drinks will be available for purchase.

Grab a drink and a snack, and head in to explore a full schedule of experiences at the Reptile House, Gator Swamp, and Aldabra tortoise habitat! Last entry is at 7 pm. Ticket sales end on August 31 at 5 pm.
