Discover South Broadway Cultural Center

Get to know one of Albuquerque's best-kept secrets.

An architectural and artistic jewel, South Broadway Cultural Center features a 300+ seat theater, art gallery, a large community event room, and a library.

Previously a small storefront with minimal but wonderful performing space and a library that was created to serve the immediate community, in late 1992 the old storefront was demolished and cleared away to make room for the new facility, which opened on April 14, 1994, and since that time has become an artistic center in the South Broadway community.

The John Lewis Theatre offers a wide variety of live entertainment throughout the year. The accessible, light Art Gallery features six curated shows each year that feature the work of talented area artists. A large Community Room that can be divided into a smaller space is a popular venue for meetings and events, large and small.
