Civic Plaza Rental Information
Due to the Convention Center Renovation Project, Civic Plaza may be unavailable for rentals, or available on a limited basis only, from October 2013 until September 2014. Please inquire as to details before making event plans.
This unique, outdoor venue has a capacity for more than 20,000 people and includes a performance stage measuring 35 feet by 96 feet.
The base rental fee for the Harry E. Kinney Civic Plaza is $60 per hour. Outside fees may apply.
Reservations and Deposits. A verbal request will hold an available date on the calendar for up to 10 days. A reservation will not be confirmed until applicable paperwork is complete and fees are paid in full. A Civic Plaza Rental Agreement is required.
Event Permit. The majority of events held on Civic Plaza are of the scale that they require a City Event Permit. The Event Permit is in addition to the Civic Plaza Rental Agreement. View more information.
Timeline. Event permits and preparations may take several months to complete. Please plan accordingly.
Insurance. An insurance policy must be provided for the rental dates in the amount of $1,000,000.
Personnel. The Renter provides all staff and personnel for an event, which includes set-up, tear-down and clean up.
Equipment. The Renter provides all equipment for set-up, presentation of, and complete clean up after an event.
No motorized vehicles of any kind are allowed on the Plaza.
