Crestview Bluffs Park

Find information about the proposed design concepts for Crestview Bluffs Park.

Mayor Keller committed the City of Albuquerque to the 10-Minute Walk initiative, a national program promoting equitable access to parks, trails, and open space within a 10-minute walk of all residents. While more than 90% of Albuquerque residents currently meet this standard, the Crestview Bluffs Park property is in the center of one of the City’s largest remaining service gaps, and will contribute toward compliance with this goal.

The Crestview Park is designed to be a vibrant, family-oriented community space, featuring wide pedestrian paths that guide visitors through a dynamic mix of recreation and relaxation. A small bike pump track adds energy alongside a versatile lawn, a full basketball court, and a futsal area for fast-paced play. Younger visitors will enjoy the all-ages playground and a dedicated tot lot, while the dining plaza—enhanced by warm string lights and rotating food trucks—creates an inviting atmosphere for gathering and enjoying the park into the evening.

Concepts

A public meeting occurred on October 23, 2025, and three concepts were presented.

All concepts have the boundaries of the park in a semi-traingular shape: Old Coors SW on the West side, Gonzales SW on the north side, Oasis SW to Desert SW on the east side, and private property to the south.

All concepts also have these features in common:

  • Trees in street plantars around most of the park perimeter.
  • Trees around each separate part of the park.
