The South Broadway Cultural Center art gallery is a light and bright inviting space for viewing the eight curated art exhibitions featured each year. With free off-street parking and free entry during SBCC hours of operation, and during special events, the art gallery is a wonderful place to visit.

Curator Augustine Romero brings the best in local art and artists to showcase Albuquerque's position as a true art mecca. Opening night receptions for the artists are free to the public, and a great opportunity to meet and mingle with these talented artists.

Guadalupe Art Show - 2022 - 800 Opens Thursday, December 8 - Monday, December 26, 2022

A community art exhibition honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe opens at South Broadway Cultural Center on Thursday, December 8 with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. The show features contemporary works and traditional retablos with a community altar by the Salazar family of Los Guadalupaños of St. Francis Xavier Parish. 

This year's exhibition marks the 98th year the South Broadway community has commemorated Our Lady of Guadalupe's first apparition when she introduced herself to Juan Diego as the Mother of God and the mother of all humanity when she appeared on the hill of Tepeyac in Mexico in 1531. It also marks the 28th year in its present gallery.

A Dia De Los Muertos art exhibition featuring 50 artists, 11 offrendas, and one community offrenda opens at the South Broadway Cultural Center on Wednesday, Nov. 2 with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. The reception and exhibition are free and open to the public. 






Silence Is GoldThursday, June 9 through Saturday, July 23, 2022

A new exhibition at South Broadway Cultural Center showcasing the work of six artists. Entitled Still, the exhibition shows connections of mapping time and place and lessons in isolation due to the pandemic by Carol C. Sánchez, Ben Dallas, Orlando Leyba. Leigh Anne Langwell, Bryce Hample, and Maude Andrade.

SkateDeck - Peace Tree by Jacob PereaThursday, March 31 through Saturday, May 14, 2022 

The span of work featured in Synonymous takes on various stylized images that are reflection of side walk surfing and the vast influences of urban skateboarding culture. The public space becomes an impromptu park for skaters. This exhibition is a celebration of that space that includes 50 artists, some of whose work is being exhibited at the South Broadway Cultural Center for the first time.
