Description
Registration required by October 15, volunteers arrive at 8:30 am. Come join us for a morning of community service in the Bosque!
Día del Rio takes place every year on the third Saturday in October, hosted by the City of Albuquerque Open Space Division and the Open Space Alliance, partnering with the ABQ BioPark. Family-friendly conservation projects include trail maintenance, re-vegetation, and trash clean-up. There are activities appropriate for all ages! Volunteers will meet at Tingley Beach, at the main building (map) to enjoy morning snacks and coffee before heading out to work on the various projects. Afterwards, there will be a raffle for a variety of prizes in gratitude for your time and effort!
Please bring sturdy footwear, work gloves, water, sunglasses, and sunscreen. A hat is also recommended. Parking is limited, so please carpool (or bike!) if you can.
To sign up, visit One Albuquerque Volunteers. While you're here, you can drop off your old electronics for recycling! Read about this year's coinciding E-waste Recycling Event. Hope to see you there!
