City parks are open to the public and the City encourage use of the parks and recreation facilities for various outdoor activities. Some of the activities that occur at parks include walking, running, sports activities, parties, family and community gatherings.
Parks are for public use and are on a first come first serve basis. In general, reservations are not accepted for parks. If your usage of a park involves one or more of the items listed below please fill out the attached form and email it to mherrera@cabq.gov or fax it to 857-8220 so your proposed use of a park can be coordinated with Park Management staff. If you require additional assistance, please call 311 or 857-8697.

Park Restrictions/ Prohibited Activities in Parks: Inflatable "Fun Jumps"; glass containers; vehicles on grass; staking of tents (blocks, sandbags, and water filled barrels only); pony rides.
Park Use Requirements: Portable restrooms must be placed on dirt or concrete (the Parks & Recreation Dept. does not provide restrooms for private events); parks must be left clean and trash hauled away; only gas or propane grills are allowed in parks and you must have a fire extinguisher on hand. Use of grills and/or restrictions are determined by the Fire Marshall's Office (764-6300). For events, insurance may be required and review of your proposed event by the City Special Events Permit Committee.
