A Senior I Know Essay Contest
Every year, The Department of Senior Affairs sponsors the City's Annual "A Senior I Know" Essay Contest for students in grades 1-5.
Older and younger generations have a lot to learn from one another, and one way to keep younger generations connected to significant older adults in their lives is to create opportunities for children to share how these relationships have positively impacted them.
But participating in the contest is not necessary to make this a valuable activity! Whether you choose to submit the essay as a contest entry, save it as part of your family history, or send it to the senior it’s about, this project is a great way to keep generations connected.
