As the City of Albuquerque adheres to New Mexico's public health order, the Department of Senior Affairs will begin shifting to more in-person interactive programing and activities while still working to keep you and other members of the community safe.

On Friday, June 4th, we will end the grab & go (drive-thru model) of lunch meals and starting Monday, June 7th, lunch will be available for pick up inside all senior and multigenerational center locations. Seating availability will be based on the NM public health order and may be limited.  If seating is unavailable, lunch may be taken to-go.  Sports & Fitness Center gym visits will no longer require a reservation but will require an active membership.  Breakfast will temporarily not be served, however, lunches are still available at all senior and multigenerational center locations Monday-Friday.

Fees and Benefits

Memberships help us keep accurate count of participants, as well as help make sure we obtain appropriate resources and funding to continue providing free and low-cost services to our active adult community.

  • New participants will be required to register for membership in order to continue services. New memberships have a $20.00 annual fee; however, a fee waiver can be requested.
  • Existing members with a previous active membership as of March 17th of 2020 will be renewed and extended due to the COVID-19 pandemic closures of our centers.

All virtual activities and programs do not require a membership to participate.  Learn more about those activities at cabq.gov/seniors/virtual.

Once our facilities re-open:

  • Center memberships cost $20/year.
  • Seniors (age 50+) have access to the senior centers, multigenerational centers, and senior fitness centers.
  • Members ages 6-50 have access to the multigenerational centers.
  • Additional fees may be charged for certain classes, activities, and trips.

Visit your senior or multigenerational center to become a member.
