About 50+ Sports & Fitness

Beginning April 26, the Senior Affairs Sports and Fitness Team will be offering limited, reservation-based slots at the Manzano Mesa and North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Fitness Centers. Gym attendance will be structured in 45 minutes slots available at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., Monday through Friday.

Palo Duro and Los Volcanes Fitness Centers are also offering 45 minutes slots available at 7 a.m., 8 a.m., 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., Monday through Friday.

Gym goers can register for a slot by calling the Fitness Center they want to visit between 8 a.m. and noon, no more than one business day in advance of the time they want to visit. Please keep in mind you have to be age 18 and over to work out at these facilities. There will be no showers or group fitness classes available.

Senior, Multigenerational Centers are closed to the public but limited, low-contact activities may be offered at select locations beginning March 1. Breakfast will temporarily not be served, however, to-go lunches are still available for pick up at five locations M-F. Learn more here.

The 50+ Sports and Fitness Program includes individual and group weight training classes; aerobic, gentle, and flex tone exercise classes; adapted aquatics; an outdoor recreation program; a walking program; evidenced-based programs; and the Albuquerque 50+ Games. New classes and opportunities are added regularly.
