Second shooting victim dies

ALBUQUERQUE – The second victim from a shooting last week died as a result of his wounds.

Dominic Sanchez, 32, succumbed to his wounds on Friday, April 15, 2022. Sanchez was one of two people shot last Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in the DK parking lot, located at 13601 Copper Ave. N.E.

Kenneth Sweetwater, 42, was also shot and died shortly after being transported to the hospital.

A homicide investigation is ongoing.
