ALBUQUERQUE - The Albuquerque Police Department arrested and charged a man from Santo Domingo Pueblo man who admitted to killing another man on Monday during a dispute.
Keith Bird, 50, told police he arrived in Albuquerque Monday afternoon and later bought alcohol and drank with some friends in the area of 2950 Central Ave. S.E. Bird said and one of the men got into an argument and went to an alley west of Girard Blvd S.E. to fight.
Bird said he beat the other man, who has not been positively identified, with a tree branch and with his fists, until he noticed people walking in the alley.
Bird was charged with an open count of murder and booked overnight into the Metro Detention Center.
