APD Releases Update on Officer-Involved Shooting

Witnesses Asked to Call 242-COPS

 

ALBUQUERQUE - The Albuquerque Police Department released the identity of the individual who was fatally shot by police on Saturday near the Four Hills shopping Center.

 

Collin Neztsosie, 33, was shot by at least one APD officer shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday after police responded to calls of an individual with a gun.

 

Detectives are hoping to talk to additional witnesses who were seen in the area leading up to and during the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call 505-242-COPS.

 

The Multi-Agency Task Force (MATF) investigation is being conducted which involves New Mexico State Police, Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office, and APD. APD leaders will hold a media briefing in the coming weeks after officers are interviewed.
