The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department (AWD) is celebrating Leap Year by hosting a “Leap Out of the Shelter” pet adoption event at all city shelters on Thursday, February 29 through Sunday, March 3. Leap Year comes every four years, so consider coming out and changing the luck of a shelter pet with a forever home.
Over 700 pets are getting in shape to leap out of the shelter starting this Thursday. Adoption fee is waived. Each adoption will include spay or neuter, microchip, required vaccinations, and one free initial vet visit. For dogs, you will receive one free dog training class.
