Come join the women in blue of the Albuquerque Police Department for an "If I can, YOU can" event providing guidance and education for those curious about a career in law enforcement. Participants with have the opportunity to engage in conversations with female officers and join them on a group run and physical fitness activities. If you are not ready to participate in the physical fitness activities, receive information on physical fitness. Officers want to share with you their journeys into law enforcement and how rewarding this career can be.

The event is an effort to recruit more officers for the Department with primary focus on woman. Destigmatize beliefs about being a female officer in law enforcement or other perceptions associated with the law enforcement profession.

Demonstrate strength, vulnerability, and comradery to participants by sworn or professional staff participating alongside the participants in the event. Inspire participants to start their journey toward becoming a law enforcement officer, test their physical skills and abilities, and learn more about becoming a police officer. Provide access to participants for fitness information, ride a longs, and further guidance on the recruiting/application process, pre-hire process.
