Adopt a Business Program

The words are above and below a silouette of the Albuquerque sky line.The Adopt-a-Business program bridges the gap between Albuquerque business owners and the Albuquerque Police Department. Designed to enhance safety, improve communication, and support local merchants, the program pairs participating commercial corridors with dedicated officer liaisons within their respective Area Commands.

How It Works

  • Dedicated Area Command Liaisons: Participating businesses are connected with designated APD officer liaisons who understand the specific needs and trends of their commercial corridor.
  • Proactive Safety & Crime Prevention: Officer liaisons conduct routine walk-throughs and work directly with business owners to identify security vulnerabilities before issues escalate.
  • Streamlined Communication: Creates a structured line of contact for non-emergency safety guidance and corridor concerns, working alongside standard dispatch channels.
