Let's celebrate the vital role that pollinators play in our ecosystems, economies, and agriculture. Learn how to create thriving ecosystems, economies, and agriculture." These essential creatures, including bees, butterflies, moths, bats, beetles, and hummingbirds, are the unsung heroes behind the food we enjoy and the beauty that surrounds us. As we reflect on the interconnectedness of our world, let's unite in a collective effort to protect and preserve these crucial pollinators. 

9:00am-11:00am - (Meeting Room) Peter Callen will present on NM Native Bees, including Bumblebees, for Pollinator Day. Then take participants outdoors to do a Native Bee and Bumblebee species count in the Common Edge Field. If the room is still available, please let me know the time slot so that I can advertise the time too.   

11:00am-1:00pm -Program Description:  The Ins and Outs of a Honeybee Colony Local beekeeper Amy Owen of Desert Hives (and an NMBKA certified beekeeper) will provide an in depth look at what goes on inside and outside of a honeybee colony.  You will get to see live bees inside a beautiful observation hive and will have the opportunity to taste honey from different areas of Albuquerque and surrounding areas at different seasons.

12:00pm-2:00pm-Entertainment by: Endion and Conservation Carnivale with music by: Uncle Eric's Band
