Valley Instructor Valley Instructor

Hi everyone! I’m Mel I’ve been teaching water aerobics at valley for about 6 years now I couldn’t ask for a more fulfilling job. Not only do I get to help people with their health and wellness I also get to know the community. I’ve made so many friends along the way from new comers to regulars. Working out can be scary especially in a pool so my goal is service with a smile, sometimes the best motivation is some kind words and a smile. I’ve come to learn that a good story also makes for a great work out so I’ve made sure to share my wacky life experiences with all my water aerobics goers and even get some wisdom In return. I’m so grateful for all the wonderful people I’ve met through the years water aerobics is my home away from home and for that I’m so grateful. It wouldn’t be a valley water aerobics without our nightly question of “what’s for dinner?” And our light at the end of the tunnel rocking chairs! Or the occasional cookie baked with love just for me.

Miah Grenemyer Miah Grenemyer

My name is Miah Grenemyer, I am eighteen years old and will be attending the University of Northern Colorado in the Fall to study nursing. I began working for the city in December of 2020, and started teaching water aerobics my first week as a lifeguard. It was refreshing, throughout COVID there was little interaction, even at work and teaching was a welcome change. It has been an invigorating experience getting to know the patrons at Los Altos through my water aerobics classes and I wouldn’t trade my time spent teaching for anything.
