Statement from the Office of Mayor Keller on Safe Outdoor Spaces Vote

After tonight’s City Council vote, Mayor Keller’s veto of the ​ordinance to remove all references to Safe Outdoor Spaces in the Integrated Development Ordinance was upheld. The City of Albuquerque released the following statement from Mayor Tim Keller:​​

"Our city needs solutions, not endless backtracking on ideas approved just six months ago. It’s time to move on," said Mayor Tim Keller. "Safe Outdoor Spaces are just a small tool in our toolbox to provide shelter for folks in need and address illegal camping.​"
