City’s First Innovation Officer Receives National Recognition

Haley Kadish recognized for work to improve City operations and outcomes

Haley Kadish, Performance and Innovation Officer for the City of Albuquerque, is receiving the Emerging Leader Award of Excellence from the American Society for Public Administration’s Center for Accountability and Excellence. Haley is one of four recipients being recognized for innovative work to improve government performance to better serve residents and taxpayers.    

“I’m grateful to be recognized among this group of professionals using their skills to improve the way government works,” said Haley Kadish, Performance and Innovation Officer. “The City has made efficiency and better outcomes a priority, empowering me and my team to implement meaningful, analysis-driven changes for the benefit of the people of Albuquerque.”

“As the City’s first Performance and Innovation Officer, Haley has brought a fresh lens to our local government,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “We don’t settle for the status quo, and Haley’s work is critical to help us find better ways of doing things so that we can be more efficient and get better results for the people of Albuquerque.”

The City’s Performance and Innovation Office works across departments to help City operations become more efficient and effective and also leads the City’s efforts to measure performance and outcomes. By keeping an eye on performance and metrics, the office protects taxpayer dollars and ensures the City is getting the best outcomes from the services it pays for.
