The annual National Vehicles for Change Conference and Lowrider Supershow have taken place the first week of June since 2021. This conference and supershow offers a wide variety workshops, activities, and opportunities to network with other cities, including their police departments, school systems, lowrider clubs, and city officials who are starting up their own programs or trying to grow them. Participants not only get access to these networking opportunities, but also access to our Vehicles for Change Model/Blueprint that the network has been developing over the past three years. Each year, the Conference has been spearheaded and funded by City Councilor Klarissa Pena's Office, the Albuquerque Police Department, and the Drug Enforcement Agency. Participation in the national network and the annual conferences has doubled each year and is continuing to grow around the country.
