City Councilor Klarissa Peña Welcomes High School Senior Intern, Serenity Gutierrez-Renteria

Serenity Gutierrez-Renteria is an Eldorado High School Senior.

Today, Albuquerque City Councilor Klarissa Peña announced that Serenity Gutierrez-Renteria will be interning in her office for the upcoming year and introduced her at today’s City Council Meeting. Ms. Gutierrez-Renteria will be working with Councilor Peña for six hours a week, learning about municipal government and public service.

“I’m honored to have Serenity join our office,” said Councilor Peña. “I’m excited to accompany this young woman of color as she continues to grow and become a leader.”

Serenity Gutierrez-Renteria is a senior at Eldorado High School and plans to attend the University of New Mexico and double major in Journalism and Political Science.
